We're in a new era of internet porn. The old days of crappy, degraded copied porn being reposted all over subpar tube site. It was hard to find any quality premium content, and back then people weren't uploading their own amateur fuck footage like they are now. Even if you could find the people who were, their stuff usually wasn't very good. Plus,, there was the whole problem of DMCA claims – both real ones and false flags – taking down existing videos.

However, nowadays tube sites and porn companies have found a way to co-exist where studios can make money, free websites can operate and get some scratch too, and people can still get porn without any charge. An example of this is Mansurfer which operates on what I call an exposure model. And no I’m not talking about all of the uncovered ass on this site.

I mean that Mansurfer uploads clips of videos from popular sites all over the web, writes up a small synopsis of the full scene, and gives you just enough content to get interested in getting a subscription. The idea is to get you excited enough to want to buy a membership from the studio being advertised and usually some extra incentive is provided in the form of a special deal through the sites affiliate link.

The nice part about this is that Mansurfer provides you porn from several studios, both mainstream and niche, and they're all quality video, too. The downside is that the clips are super short, being a minute or two long, or even shorter. Unless you're a thirty-second wonder (and if you are good luck in your sex life), this will hardly be enough to get you "there." But Mansurfer does host thousands of videos and navigating from one vid to the next with one hand is pretty easy thanks to the site's unusual design.

You Might have to Get Used to the Design…

…but once you do, it's worth it. Mansurfer is a bit unique in the way that it's set up. You see, with most sites there's a homepage, some previews, and links to videos, and a drop-down menu which takes you to the rest of the website.

But Mansurfer is a bit different. Not radically so, but the designers clearly decided to go in a different direction in terms of function and aesthetics. At the top of the page are listed all of the main site functions like logging in, searching for vids, and other specialty search tools like what’s popular or what has been recently uploaded.

Some of these tabs lead to drop down menus on screen, like the search button, while clicking on others takes you to a different tab entirely while others keep you on the same page. From what I can tell, the reason for the Recent tab is because the homepage recycles existing videos to get them exposure and mixes fresh uploads with them.

If you do click on a video, you'll find that toward the bottom of the page, rather than just get genera recommendations you get to choose from other videos from the same studio that you're watching along with a separate related section underneath. So, if you're skipping from clip to clip, scrolling down and getting to a fresh vid is super simple.

Overall, this site’s design can be a little disorienting at first but once you adjust it becomes pretty intuitive.

The Popular Tags Are Interesting

You can often tell a lot about a porn site from the stuff that it's users find popular. Mansurfer has a tool just for that, and it looks like it's a mixed bag of porn from all over the gay smut universe.

Using the top rated, most rated, most discussed, and top favorited features the one preferences users of this site have is for big, built men. Just to check I used the time-based filters and found the same thing as well. So, there ain’t too many limp-wristed twinks featured in any of the favorite sections. But other than that, it’s a free-for-all.

There are videos from just about every major studio and a few niche specialty sites as well. Guys of all different colors are seen here, and the studios which film them are from all over the world. So, if you like to look at hung hunks get fucked in all kinds of different ways, you should check these pages out.

What Else Is Popular?

Besides the general popular page which lists specific videos at the bottom of the page, you can check out a tool which lists all of the popular tags that users like. As you might suspect terms like stud, uncut, tattoos, as well as smooth and hairy appear. Both Sean and Cody appear too, so I’m guessing that SeanCody.com’s stuff does pretty well also.

When you're using this site, you'll find that these tags can be selected too and used as a sort of search engine to see fresh content. I tried it a few times and got literally thousands of search results with the press of one button. Next to that button is a popular category tab which does the same thing, so the ways you can search this site is pretty thorough.

Oh, I should probably mention here that while this site used to be kind of dated, they now upload new previews all of the time. In fact, when I re-reviewed this website, I saw that 23 videos were uploaded in a single day.

The Pornstar Database Is Huge

Like any good porn site, Mansurfer lists all of its performers. Unfortunately, unlike a lot of other sites they only list the performers’ names – there are no pictures, no thumbnail reviews of their work, just a name. If you are familiar with professionals in the industry or know who you are looking for this might not be a problem, but if you’re casually looking around you might get frustrated selecting ta name then backing tracking to see what else is on the site.

I think that this might be because there are so many pornstars with one – or as is often the case several – videos posted, but I still think that it’s a sloppy design feature.

You Will Love Mansurfer Live

The clips on this site may be limited to just a couple minutes at most, but if you click over to Mansurfer Live, you're treated to a butt load of hot guys from all over the world who love showing off their bodies and just generally being sexy on camera.

You will have to pay for a private show but, unlike most other cam sites which might give you a couple minutes for free, Mansurfer gives you a whopping ten minutes which come complimentary with an account.

Love it or hate it, money makes the world go around. Even if you think that you’re getting a service without charge, somewhere down the line cash is changing hands. As I said, it is free, but unless you’re going to get video on demand or take advantage of their DVD sales, there isn’t much point in joining Mansurfer.

To Join or Not?

First, I do give this site props for trying something new with the web design. As someone who takes a great deal of pride in my website’s design, I appreciate what they did. As far as the what the average user might think? You might like it or you might not.

This site is excellent for a quick fix if you're looking to jack off. But I think its real strength is as a way to preview websites before joining them. After all, while most videos provide you with free previews, they often limit you to the number of videos you can watch and even which you can see a clip of. Then, of course, there are some smut sites which don't even give you any video promos.

Mansurfer is a great, free, legal way to get around all of this bullshit since you get access to dozens of previews from popular studios without any limit as to how many times you can watch them.

There aren't any bonus features other than e-store and webcam models. But the web cam section is pretty good compared to some other sites that I've seen.

All things considered, I give Mansurfer three and a half hands out of five.
