Pride Drawing is an up-and-coming 3D artist who, in 2020, announced he was working on an interactive novel filled with gay nudity called Bound to College. I have already reviewed it and come to a rather favorable conclusion. After I finished doing a write-up on that game, I knew that I had to go over its spiritual sequel. Once again, Pride Drawing has not failed to succeed.

The Idea Is Similar To Pride Drawing's First Game, With A Fantastic Twist

The playable character that acts as your avatar is an angel tasked with guarding a young man called Tim. The object is to guide him along with the path of righteousness, though Tim is not directly aware of your presence. This is made all the more frustrating as both characters are often inflamed with lust.

It rather fits the title is (B)Engel since "engel" is the German word for angel and "bengel" is the term for brat.

But the complications do not end there. Tim is in love with his hunky neighbor Jeff, and Jeff has a girlfriend. Each choice you make determines whether you will maintain your angelic innocence or wind up becoming a demon. Loads of angelic, incubus, and mortal drama ensue from there, with plenty of bareback butt fucking, too.

As with Bound to College, this chose-your-own-adventure plot is moved forward by how you exchange words with other characters. Pick the right set of dialogue options, and you might end up swapping blowjobs or perhaps even more than that.

The Graphics Are About As Good As I Expected

As with his first game, Pride Drawing put just as much effort into this site's visuals. If anything, he did an even better job this time around. It almost looks as if the author has mastered that "glistening" look, as if the guys are mildly sweaty in every scene. The guys you get to interact with are not just twinks but also muscle studs of several colors and cock sizes.

The Written And Spoken Dialogue Is Surprisingly Good

I do not exactly have high expectations for the conversations in erotic video games, not even visual novels. When it comes to indie games, I do not expect them to have spoken dialogue at all. But this game certainly has provided on both of those metrics. Whether you are playing the English or German version, the dialogue is dang good and will likely put you in the mood. The creator used Speechelo for the voice work, which sounds a lot better than you think.

Become A Patreon And Get More Reward Than You Might Expect

If you decide to opt into the Pride Drawing's Patreon system, you'll get a decent number of bonuses. The basic membership costs only $1.50 a month, and you get access to updates, the rest of the community, and secret scenes. Go up to the next tier for $6 drafts and bonus images, which is certainly nice considering that some people complain about it being hard to unlock the hidden picture galleries.

Another reason you might want to consider offering your patronage is because the NSFW version of the game requires you to do so. That does really suck since this is usually not the case for other erotic interactive novels, but for $6 a month, that is not bad. This is especially nice since you do not have to pay to download the game, and you can cancel your Patreon participation right after at any time.

At a rate of $11.50 a month, you essentially get more material and general support. Honestly, to me, that is not worth the money, but if you are a $23 Good Samaritan, you'll be mentioned in the next edition's credits, and you'll get an avatar of a game character of your choosing.

The Download Options And Pricing Is Most Excellent

As I mentioned, you technically do not have to pay anything for this game. The author asks for $2, but you can pay as little or a lot if you want. Or you could tip Pride Drawing if you think he deserved it. As far as the sorts of devices that this game runs on, it is pretty much all of them. Any modern Mac operating system will do, along with a Windows or Linux desktop or laptop and Android. Well, at least I think it runs on Andriod. Some fans have reported that it does not load correctly if you play it in English. However, it appears that Pride Drawing has come up with a fix for that.

This Could Be Pride Drawing's Best Work Yet

If you read my review on Bound to College, you'll know that I am a big fan of Pride Drawing's work. His first foray into erotic visual novels was rather impressive, especially since he apparently did it all on his own. And this is a guy who had no previous experience with coding. His second game has certainly lived up to my expectations, and I am sure they will to yours. As I have pointed out, it still is not finished, but it looks like (B)Engel is getting more attention from Pride Drawings. For now, I am giving this one four and a half hands out of five.
