I am sure that most of you reading this experienced quite a bit with other guys in college, or at the very least, thought about it. Whether you got your fill of feeling up other fellas or missed out entirely, Pride Drawings has constructed a fantastic interactive story about amorous lads exploring their sexuality and their peers' penises. It is easy to play and has a few traits most games of this nature all have.
The Background On This Interactive Story Is Noteworthy
This game was made by a guy I had not heard of up until recently, but I am glad that I did. Apparently, Pride Drawing is the pen name of a 3D artist who wanted to give himself a new challenge. New to the world of coding, he put out this experiential novel as a passion project, and for a first attempt, I was pretty impressed. It hits the mark on everything from plot to graphics and execution.
The Premise Is Basic, But The Plot Gets Pretty Complex
The character you are first introduced to is a young gay in his second year of college who is excited to meet his new roommate. But there is no guarantee that you'll be in school for much longer as the headmaster wants to know what you are going to do to improve your grades. Of course, the horny protagonist is ready to do anything.
Along the journey, you'll meet a guy named, Ned. A guy who could become your study buddy, good friend, or lascivious lover. Another guy is Vincent, who might come off like a bully but really is a repressed college jock. There are a few other characters you meet for locker room romps, roleplay scenarios, and get into all sorts of drama.
The Screenshot Renders Are Really Raunchy
As far as visuals go, I think that it should be expected these days to see graphics that border on being photo-real, and that includes indie games. Well, by that standard, this game certainly meets my criteria. Most of the characters definitely fit the twink mold but are not portrayed as being too skinny based on what most guys like. The sex scenes are totally uncensored, and the attention to human anatomy is quite arousing. You'll have to see it for yourself, but the character's dicks are realistic but amply sized, uncut, and look so good you'll swear you can taste the precum.
My Experience Of This Sexy Story Is Pretty Positive
When it comes to the gameplay, Pride Drawing did a good job of blending the plot with the level of interactivity. As such, rather than force the player to read through paragraphs of dialogue and click through page after page of nothing happening, Pride Drawing did a good job of interspersing the conversation and interaction. So, you'll be reading snippets of text that advance the story, followed soon by interactive options. As things get steamier, you'll be asked to pick between two or three options like "kiss him" or "suck his dick." But you'll have to think about what response you are going to give. Not all of them are obvious to get the most desired result.
The Creator Is Still Making Improvements
Like a lot of games, whether they are straight- or gay-themed, an NSFW experience, or AAA title, pretty much all games are going to be buggy upon launch. The same is true with this one, but unlike some independent creators, Pride Drawing has put the work into making his most famous project even better. Since Bound to College launched, he has continued to iron out the kinks. Further, the game's creator does a decent job at responding to people's questions about glitches and the such. I and others would hope that he comes up with some form of tutorial. While most of the game is pretty easy to play through, the character nudie photo galleries are quite hard to unlock.
If You Become A Fan, Then You Should Check Out The Discord
Over the years, Pride Drawing has enjoyed seeing the rise of a little following online. It is not too big but growing, with lots of fans chatting on his Discord server. There are now over a couple of thousand members, and hundreds of them are bound to be online at any time. In addition to discussing the game, members do share a shocking amount of AI-generated smut.
If You Are A Super Fan, Consider Becoming A Patron
I normally would not do this and let you make up your own mind, but I think that you should consider becoming a Patreon. While it would use a little bit of polish, Bound to College is a fun experience which, as we will see, is quite enviously priced.
The entry-level to be a Patron or an Applicant will cost you only $1.50 a month. With this package, you'll be a part of the Pride Drawing community, get early access, receive updates as they come down the pipe, and get access to behind-the-scenes content.
For $6 a month, you'll become a Middle-Class member and get access to general support. You'll also get access to Pride Drawing's other indie gay game, (B)Engel. By the way, I have reviewed that game, so look that post up after you finish this one.
As an Upper-Class member paying $11.50 monthly, you'll get access to even more bonus pics that are "extra spicy" not available in the game. In addition to everything else mentioned, you can access the Board of Director Posts. And finally, at $23 a month, you'll get even more glorious images, an avatar image of a game character of your choice, and you'll be mentioned in the credits of the next release of (B)Engel.
The System Requirements Aren't A Big Deal, The Price Is Even Better
One thing that always frustrates me is when you see a game that has restrictive system requirements, and it applies to most of the games that I review. However, Bound to College is compatible with every modern Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android. As for the cost? Well, you might be surprised to find out that you determine how much you pay. In fact, the game's designer asks that you send in a couple of dollars, but if you want to send in one or known, you can. Since I like the guy and his work, so I'll add that you can send this creator tip money if you are impressed. After having finished this review, I am sure that you'll be encouraged to do so.
I'll Finish By Comparing This Game To Another College Fantasy
One of the things that I am sure you may have noticed is that a lot of indie games do not have the same production values. But a few of them have so much passion put into them they have a sort of magic that makes them exceptionally enjoyable, like Bound to College. Another thing I am sure that you have noticed is that a lot of gay games never live up to the quality that the straight ones do. Sure, this is because there are way more straights out there pumping out games.
By the law of averages, this is going to be the case. But that makes it all of the more exciting when you find a guy-on-guy NSFW game. To do that, I needed to make a comparison and also looked at College Bound, a hetero version of Bound to College.
The plots are similar, though College Bound does not have time travel or any science-fantasy elements. College Bound does have sixteen more major characters, though unless you are bi, I doubt that comparison is not going to mean much. The graphic quality is about as good, but College Bound has some full-motion animation. Since that last fact edges out Bound to College, I am not going to give it a perfect score. However, it still deserves a rating of four hands out of five. If you are interested in interactive stories with all gay characters and steamy sodomite sex, check this game out.
