As you will see, again, most of the members are in more dense areas around France. But as you zoom in, you will notice that many of these dots are displayed at the street level. Wait, what the fuck?!

When I first noticed this, the first thing that came to my mind was, ‘fuck; there will be some would-be members that won’t be okay with this.’ When looking at the map, it seems like PlanSM shows you exactly where each member resides. Upon looking at the FAQs, though, it became clear that this isn’t the case.

PlanSM states that you can select any location of your choice when you sign up for an account on the social network. But what if you want to list the area where you live so that you know PlanSM will work properly? Rest easy. PlanSM says that it does not use geographical data to pinpoint where you live.

Those dots on the map at the street level are a fluke, or some users opt to use their actual location when browsing PlanSM. At any rate, geographical data is never shared on the map or anywhere else on PlanSM, for that matter.

Must be a member to see anything really
